FRIDAY, JULY 27TH    So, Friday’s event starts with a sit down supper for the WA class of ’72 and ’73 alumni only.   The location is “Southern Roots” at 1108 N Main Street, High Point, NC 27262, Phone: (336) 882-5570. Dinner is at 6:00 to 8:00pm. Link: www.bbonline.com/nc/jhadams   The cost for the Friday night at “Southern Roots” was paid by Caroline as a repayment to the '72 class. We had helped Caroline buy her class ring in 1972 since her parents would not buy it for her.   After supper on Friday night every ’72 and ’73 alumni is invited to go cart racing inside at Grand Prix Greensboro. The cost for this event is not included in your reunion payment.    I have a reservation for 8 of us at 8:30 to 11:00pm. The cost is $34 each, so I have paid a $272 deposit for us. If we have more than 8 drivers, they said they could accommodate us. Our package includes 3 races (each race is about 15 laps). SATURDAY, JULY 28TH Saturday at 10:00am, the class of ’72 and ’73 will meet at Westchester Academy (or Westchester Country Day School). WA has given us permission to recreate the photo of the famous “roof photo”, 35 years later (Laurie, I'm sorry for this, but we can blind fold you and I'll escort you personally to the roof).WA will also give us a tour of the school and have some refreshments for us. We should be finished by 11:30 to 12noon.   Saturday’s lunch is own your own and you have a break until the next phase of the reunion starts.   We shall reconvene anytime after 3:00pm at Mary and Don Farlow’s farm. The location is 4123 Roy Farlow Road, Trinity, NC 27370.    Click Here for map and directions.   Invitees for Saturday’s reunion activities are: the ’72 and ’73 alumni and their spouses, our teachers, coaches and their spouses, and any ’72 and ’73 alumni kids (so invite your kids…maybe a game of some kind may break out now that they are invited). The cost for teachers, coaches and our kids are free of charge and are included in the $150 per person cost for us (alumni and spouses).   Everett Padgett will operate a martini bar from 4:30 to 6:00pm. A down home authentic Lexington barbeque dinner with all the fixings will be served from 5:00 to 7:00pm.   Our program will start about 7:30 to 8:00pm (remember your assignments?).   We’ll close shop for Saturday when we’re all done…your guess is as good as mine.

 

SUNDAY, JULY 29TH Sunday’s event is real simple. We’ll meet at Julie’s home in Jamestown (501 Mendenhall Road and the map to her home is on the website discussion forum). The time is an 11:00am brunch (which Julie will serve) and on open Champagne and Bloody Mary bar (which Kim will serve). This is for ’72 and ’73 alumni and their spouses only.
